My dear and appreciated Lazarist family:

With all my love, I address all our parishioners and devotees of San Lazaro in the face of the reality that we are currently experiencing, both locally and globally, with the action and presence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its effects of disease and mortality , which has forced us to cancel our services of masses and baptisms. Although our Church has its doors open with provisional hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

I am inviting to become aware of the pandemic social reality that we are going through, which has forced us to practice different lifestyles, take precautions that force us to “social isolation and confinement” and to stay at home, to extreme cleaning of hands and changing rooms and maintain interpersonal distance.

I invite you to read biblical quotes, psalms and songs, sacred (religious) music with the aim of overcoming future behavior and personality problems, such as anxiety, stress and depression, but above all I invite you to strengthen and consolidate our faith based on prayer and meditation every day.

May the blessed intersection of Saint Lazarus fill us with goodness, patience and hope, and with his protection and blessing.

We recommend you read this psalm 90 daily

Psalm 90

In the shadow of the Almighty

You who inhabit the Shelter of the Most High,
who live in the shadow of the Almighty,
Say to the Lord: “My refuge, my fortress,
My God, I trust in You.”

He will deliver you from the hunter’s net,
from the fatal plague.
He will cover you with his feathers,
under his wings you will take refuge:
His arm is a shield and armor.

You will not fear the night fright,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the plague that glides in the darkness,
nor the epidemic that devastates at midday.

A thousand will fall to your left,
ten thousand on your right;
it will not reach you.

Look nothing with your eyes,
you will see the wages of the wicked,
because you made the Lord your refuge,
you took to the Most High for defense.

No misfortune will come,
nor will the plague come to your tent,
because he has given his angels orders
to keep you in your ways;

he will carry you in his palms,
so that your foot does not stumble on the stone;
you will walk on asps and vipers,
you will trample on lions and dragons.

“He stood next to me: I will deliver him;
I will protect him because he knows my name,
He will call upon me and I will listen to him.

With him I will be in tribulation,
I will defend him, I will glorify him,
I will satisfy him with long days
and I will make him see my salvation “.
